A racing enthusiast for as long as he can remember, Brett Lupton began his career racing karts and speedway sedans, before working as a mechanic for several prominant racing teams in the UK, US and New Zealand, and on a variety of cars, including formula 3s and formula 1s. In 1994 he moved to Perth and started Fastlane Racing, a racing team that has since produced many state and national champions on the Australian Formula Ford Curcuit.

A racing vetaren, Murchison has been involved with Fastlane since 1998 when he won the Western Australian Formula Ford Championship. That same year Murchison proved he was one of the emerging talents in Australian motor sport by winning the support race at the Australian Grand Prix (Fastest lap; lap record; pole position) and taking out the Rookie of the Year title in the national Formula Ford series. Since then, ‘Murcho’ has raced everything from V8 Supercars and Formula Holden in Australia through to Formula Renault V6 and Formula 3000 in Europe. He remains one of the most respected drivers in the country and is a valuable addition to the Fastlane Racing Drivers School.
